Here is my favorite Mexican cheese dip in the whole world. If you go out to a Mexican restaurant and you order the cheese dip, you will fall in love. Now you can make it at home!
This cheese dip is crazy delicious and super easy to make. I love to serve it in the cute little salsa bowls like they have at the Mexican restaurant. In fact, I purchased a set of 3 on Amazon for only $3!
My family truly feels like we are having a true authentic Mexican night when we pull out our decorations that we made during our study of Mexico (yes we are a homeschooling family!), serve up my delicious Cilantro Lime Rice , along with any flavor of taco I can put together and we always have a fantastic meal!
- 1 pound block of Land o Lakes American Cheese
- 1 can of diced green chiles
- 3-6 tablespoons of milk
- Grate the cheese and place in a saucepan and melt. Add green chiles and milk (start with 3 tablespoons of milk). Stir until melted. If it is still to thick, keep adding milk until you get the desired consistency.
Oh — and if you are watching what you are eating, you can make tacos and skip the shells by making lettuce wraps instead.
You will have the best Mexican Cheese dip EVER!
Have you ever made your own dips before? What are your favorite options to add in?
