I finally finished my mother in law’s quilt. It has taken me two looong years, but I finally did it. A friend gave me a package of pre-cut squares for a block quilt (which is all I can do at the moment). When she gave it to me, I already knew who it would be for. My wonderful mother in law! So this quilt cost me nothing money wise, but will be a gift from the heart for her for Christmas this year.
For this being my first quilt, I am quite proud of it. All the squares lined up, the edges turned out beautiful–everything about it I love!
That’s not to say I did not have my bumps in the road. A couple of times, I sewed things the wrong way and had to undo them and start over. I sewed the batting on the outside for example, which frustrated me to NO end!
Here is a closer look at the squares.
So what have you made lately?
