Kayla came up with her own smoothie drink this week. She loves the taste of coconut and we were discussing just how we could make a drink that did not have alcohol in it, but had the same flavor. She finally settled on this amazing Pina Colada Smoothie.

- 7 oz pineapple juice
- 2 oz Pina Colada Drink mix (located in the beverage section of your grocery store)
- 1 cup crushed ice
- Pineapple slices for garnish
- Add the pineapple juice, pina colada mix and crushed ice to a blender; blend at high speed. Pour into a fluted glass. Garnish with a pineapple wedge, and serve.
I did not think that this drink would be as good as it turned out, but it was amazing. It tasted fresh, fruity, and really hit the spot for that great summertime flavored drink.
Pineapple is SO good for you on top of it tasting great. It is a natural energy food, which means if you want an extra burst of energy — eat lots of pineapple!
