I received an electronic copy of Dancing With Fireflies from Litfuse Publicity. All opinions listed are 100% my own.
When I started reading this book, I was drawn in. I immediately liked Jade. She is a tough Christian girl and to deal with all that she has had to deal with in her life — well — let’s just say, she is a much stronger person that I think I ever could be.
As soon as we meet her, we find out a lot of things about her past and present. Because of these things, she decides to go home — and then we meet Daniel. Their story had me flipping page after page. I just could not put this book down.
I cheered for them. I cried for them. My heart ached, and then it rejoiced. To me, there is nothing like a long lost love.
Denise Hunter has always been a favorite author of mine. Her stories always leave me with hope and the feeling that love conquers all.
This story is amazing — from beginning to end — and I urge you to get a copy and read it . You will be blown away.
I took away from this story the theme of love and forgiveness, trust, and peace. I feel you will too.
About the book:
A Chapel Springs Romance
Jade returns home to Chapel Springs after years of protecting her fragile heart. Then along comes Daniel, making her long to dance again.
Creative and complicated, Jade McKinley felt like a weed in a rose garden growing up in Chapel Springs. When she left, she thought she’d never look back. But now, pregnant, alone, and broke, she has no other choice but to return.
The mayor of Chapel Springs, Daniel Dawson, has been an honorary member of the McKinley family for years. While his own home life was almost non-existent, Daniel fit right into the boisterous McKinley family. He’s loved Jade for years, but she always saw him as a big brother. Now that she’s back, his feelings are stronger than ever.
As Jade attempts to settle in, nothing feels right. God seems far away, she’s hiding secrets from her family, and she’s strangely attracted to the man who’s always called her “squirt.” Finding her way home may prove more difficult than she imagined.
