Hey guys! Welcome to my Ultimate Blog Party Post. I am so super excited to have you stop by and visit my site. Before I get into ALL the info you will find here, let me just tell you a little about myself, my blog, and my UBP journey.
I have been blogging since 2007. I discovered the Ultimate Blog Party in 2008 and I have participated every single year. In fact, one of my very best friends online I met through the UBP — and it has helped grow my blog each year immensely!
In 2011, I began working for 5 Minutes for Mom and stayed with them until I got SO busy writing on my own site, that I had to step away in December of 2013. I have been SUPER busy learning about blogging, social media, growing my niche, and more.
I love the work of being a blogger. It is super rewarding.
Now — about me
I am a 39 year work at home mom. We have been homeschooling our kids since 2006. My son graduated last year (I wrote a whole series of posts on how to graduate a highschooler and how to throw them the most amazing party ever!) My daughter is finishing her 10th grade year this year and moving on to 11th grade.
I have worked online since we started our homeschool journey. I do a lot of freelance writing for marriage magazines and sites, as well as food sites and other blogging sites. The thing is — I LOVE to write and share my heart 🙂 It is a passion of mine.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 20 years. We have been through some very serious issues, but God has always brought us through those and in the end, we love each other more now than we ever have.
I have a third child — who really is not a child at all, but he is my very special love bug. He is my chihuahua that I have had for 7 years now. He was a rescue dog and honestly, he never leaves my side. We treat him as if he is a child in our family — because really he is, right?
Oh yeah– you can tell he is spoiled! I write about him all the time — as well as his arch nemesis — Miss Mittens — our rescue kitty. Yes – I love rescue animals. They have my heart as well.
She is my daughter’s cat. They are best friends and spend every waking moment together as well. She has grown up with Tucker, so she acts more like a dog than she does a cat!
Anyway — that is my party in a nutshell. I would love to have you stick around and check out my site and all the posts that I have. I share lots of yummy recipes, fun book reviews, and more here — so surely you will find something to read about here.
