I was sent on an all expense paid trip by Disney to experience the movie Tomorrowland both on film and at Disneyland. All opinions listed are 100% my own.
Last week while in LA to promote the movie Tomorrowland, I got to do something that I have only dreamed about doing — I went to Disneyland y’all!
It was so fun and I can’t wait to tell you all about that trip, but before I do, I want to tell you about the amazing special effects sneak peak of the film Tomorrowland.
Before being led into the theater to preview the sneak peak, we got a chance to check out all kinds of photos and paper memorabilia from around the era of the 1964 World’s Fair.
It was really neat to read all about the things that were going on during that time. Space travel was really a hot topic of conversation in 1964, which is SO great for this movie.
There were also photos from the movie hanging on the walls and the real articles that inspired that movie scene.
It was really something to see and I am so PUMPED that I got to see it.
The Tomorrowland Sneak Peak Experience
While we were there previewing the movie I wasn’t for sure what to expect. I just assumed that we sat down and would watch an extended sneak peak of the movie (which by this point I had already seen because of the preview event the night before).
Inside the theater, we all sat down to experience this one of a kind sneak peak. The minute the sounds of the movie rumbled, I felt the floor move and my chair shake! It was truly an experience like none other. It was not a regular sneak peak viewing. It had special in-theater effects that you won’t find anywhere else!
It was an action packed — full on special effects experience.
The trailer is approximately 12 minutes long and as you enter and exit the theater, you are serenaded by music from the actual Tomorrowland movie.
It was awesome!
The Starcade Room of Props from Tomorrowland
After we finished viewing the movie, we walked next door to the Starcade room to see all kinds of props from the movie –including the infamous jet pack that George Clooney is in love with (sorry Amal!)
All of the props are original from the movie. It was super cool to see each one up close and personal.
The Countdown Clock
Laser guns and detonators used in the movie
Casey’s School books
The Tomorrowland Suit and Jetpack
The Time Wheel
The Man Jet Pack Suit from Tomorrowland
And of course all the amazing photography on the wall from the film and different shots while filming.
Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration
Y’all know me and how much I LOVE my sparkles right? I mean — if it can have any kind of shine on it –it has my attention! So imagine my surprise when we rolled up to Disneyland and discovered that they are having their 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration. Everyone and everything has a little sparkle going on — including Mickey and Minnie!
Disneyland is going to have a 24 hour celebration starting at 6am on May 22nd and will end at 6am on May 23rd. There is SO much that will be going on — you will NOT want to miss it at all.
At the Disneyland park, you will be able to take part in the “Paint the Night Parade”, that will showcase beloved Disney characters in dazzling parade scenes illuminated with more than 1.5 million individually controlled lights – the first all-LED parade in Disneyland Resort history.
You will also be able to see the Disneyland Forever fireworks show — which I have heard is pretty amazing.
And — at the Disneyworld California Adventure area, you will be able to experience the beautiful and breathtaking World of Color that Celebrates the World of Disney. We got to experience that already and let me tell you — it is something you do not want to miss. The colors are beautiful, the songs are glorious and I caught myself many times singing right along.
I felt like a kid again watching The World of Color.
Watch the trailer for Tomorrowland!
Make plans to take all your family members to go and see Tomorrowland on May 22nd and make plans to visit Disneyland this summer! I know this girl is already making plans to go back AGAIN! I’m hooked!
Featuring a screenplay by “Lost” writer and co-creator Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, from a story by Lindelof & Bird & Jeff Jensen, “Tomorrowland” promises to take audiences on a thrill ride of nonstop adventures through new dimensions that have only been dreamed of.
