I am new to the whole essential oil thing. Honestly, the prices from two of the most popular brands is what has kept me from trying them out. Then, I found the NOW Essential Oils on Amazon and started buying them and now? I am totally hooked on them. I am so hooked that I have discovered 10 Must Try Essential Oil Recipes combinations that everyone needs to try.
While the essential oils smell amazing, the health benefit behind these oils is also eye opening. What got me started on them or really interested is the fact that my massage therapist uses them every month when I go get a massage. I will tell her issues I have going on and she then tells me what she will use on that certain muscle and I am AMAZED at how it works.
Okay — enough about why I love them. Let me share with you my 10 favorite combo recipes.
1. Orange and Peppermint
My friend Crystal from Mrs. Happy Homemaker told me about this one. She said mix together equal parts of peppermint and orange for an invigorating wake up smell.
I have been using it for a few mornings and it is quickly becoming my favorite smell. You just put the drops in your diffuser with water and run it in the morning.
2. Restful Sleep
If you want to get to sleep and enjoy a peaceful and restful sleep, mix together 1 drop Bergamot, + 1 drop Lavender, + 1 drop Patchouli, + 1 drop Ylang Ylang
3. Opening Up Your Chest During Cold and Flu Season
Use this blend to boost respiratory function–especially during cold and flu season. Mix together — 1 drop Lemon, + 1 drop Lime, + 1 drop Peppermint, + 1 drop Rosemary, + 1 drop Eucalyptus
If you want to create a romantic smell, mix together 2 drops of Jasmine and 2 drops of Vanilla. It creates this very relaxing and woodsy smell that is just simply romantic.

5. The Perfect Blend for Weight Loss
This one has been shown to help rid your body of extra weight. This one you ingest though — Mix together in a glass of water 1 drop of Bergamot, 1 drop of Frankincense, and 1 drop of Orange.
6. To Combat Headaches
In your diffuser, you can use any of the following without a combination of another one — Lavendar, Eucalyptus, or Peppermint.
7. To Help with Insect Bites
We just worked on this one the other day with my hubby. He got stung by a wasp and is allergic to them, so to make the swelling and inflammation go down, we did 2 drops of peppermint and 2 drops of lavender every 15 minutes for about an hour and the swelling went all the way down and the inflammation was gone.
He was totally shocked and surprised!
8. For Mental Focus
Mix together 3 drops of Eucalyptus and 2 drops of peppermint to help you or your child focus more.
9. To enhance your mood and boost your spirits
To boost your mood and improve your attitude, mix together 3 drops of orange and 2 drops of rosemary.
10. To Boost your confidence
To boost your confidence, mix together 4 drops of Bergamot and 1 drop of Jasmine.
