As a kid, I can remember getting up early on Saturday morning with my big bowl of cereal and sitting on the couch catching up on all my favorite cartoons. There were the Flintstones, the Jetsons, the WWF Wrestling cartoon (yes I was a fan of Hulk Hogan), and many others.
My Saturday until lunch time consisted of watching all my favorites. As an adult, I have to admit that I am still a cartoon junkie.
However — the cartoons they have nowadays are just not as good as those 80’s cartoons!
My daughter would beg to differ though. She grew up in the era of Johnny Bravo, Powder Puff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Lion, Spongebob and more. And yes — I watched ALL of those with them.
Imagine my surprise a couple of weeks ago when my now 17 year old daughter screamed from her bedroom for me to come here that she had something to show me.
I ran into her bedroom thinking she had found a snake or something. She was jumping up and down and was SUPER pumped to see that Netflix has all of her favorite cartoons from when she was growing up. My 17 year old daughter had herself a Johnny Bravo marathon. It was pure bliss. 🙂 And don’t get me started on her obsession with the Amazing Spiderman cartoon.
Speaking of the Amazing Spiderman cartoon — check out all the other awesome throwback cartoons available to stream on Netflix.

My son grew up during the era of Star Wars Clone Wars so when I went into his room the other day, I asked what he had been watching, and he said to me, “Did you know that Netflix has all the series of Star Wars Clone Wars?” Needless to say — my 20 year old has been having a little binge session of his own.
