A couple of years ago, Stephen and I took our youth group to Beggs Family Farm in Sikeston Missouri. Never before have you seen a bunch of teens act like 5 year olds all over again. They definitely were having a grand time reliving their childhood.
I’m excited to announce that my family and I will be going back again soon but I have a wonderful coupon to share with y’all so that you can experience the fun that Beggs has to offer as well. If you visit by October 17th, you can save a $1.00 on the admission price.
Beggs Family Farm is part of Beggs Melon Company, Inc., a real working farm that has been in business since 1895. They offer opportunities to observe a working farm during fun school field trips and their special seasonal festivals.
Bring your group or whole family out for one of the Fall Harvest Festivals. You can see a working farm, get lost in the The MAZE cornfield maze — the Miner Max maze, relax on a wagon ride, interact with the farm animals, pick your own pumpkin right from the patch, eat delicious home-made fudge, and stock up on all your seasonal supplies.
The 2015 Season begins October 2 thru October 31. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday so don’t go on those days!
During the week there are limited hours during the week, so be sure and check that out as well. Three are also some activities not available during the week. (Boo Barn, Cow Train)
The price is $11/person for ages 2 and up for weekends, discounted pricing for groups and during the week. Pumpkins are a separate charge of 35 cents per pound.
The do take cash, credit card or checks and there is an ATM on site. Remember that you can save $1 on your admission if you visit by October 17th.
I cannot wait to take my family back here. We always have such a great time! I hope to see you there.
