I love going to the spa, however — it can get pretty pricey. The last time I went, I think I spent roughly $140. That included a one hour deep tissue massage, lunch, and a 45 minute foot massage and pedicure. For me, it was so worth the money, but my wallet was not a happy camper. When the purse strings get tight, I try to recreate that same spa feeling at home (minus the massage, of course!).
For starters, I like to feel like I am at the spa, so I get all dressed in a spa robe.
After I get my robe on and get all comfortable, I clean all my nail polish off my fingers and toes. I make a very warm foot bath, and allow my feet to soak in a hot bowl of scented oil and water.
I love to play soft Christian music in the background. I do this in the bathroom. I turn the lights down low, light a candle, and just sit there and soak it all in.
Before soaking my feet, I run some fresh warm water in the sink and use my Harris Scarfe face washers to scrub my face using an exfoliating scrub. It makes my skin come alive!
Once my feet have soaked for a while, then I used the pumice stone and remove any skin that needs to be buffed away. Then I grab the foot scrub and rub all over my calves and feet. I love to get the peppermint or coconut flavor.
I clean my feet and legs off and then lotion them up real good and then paint my toes 🙂
