It is finally the end of the week and I have to tell you that I am totally proud of myself . I accomplished some goals this week for myself that I have never done before, and I was really disciplined where I have not been in the past.
Here is the weekly weigh in breakdown for this week!
For starters, I lost 2.4 pounds this week, so I am down to 182 pounds. While it is a small loss, it is a loss and I will take it. I know that in order to keep it off, it must come off slow, so I am OK with that.
Weekly Weigh In Stats:
I started going to the gym again this week. I finally found some freed up time starting Friday, so I went two days in a row and I cannot tell you how good it felt to get back to it.
Here is what I am most proud of though — y’all — I ran – like for real ran, on the treadmill. That has never happened before ever.
I set my treadmill for 30 minutes and I walked briskly for 5 minutes, then I would set the incline at almost 4 and walk, then put it back down, and would speed up the treadmill to a brisk job and run for anywhere from 3-5 minutes. I kept this interval going back and forth for a while and before you know it, I had 15 minutes of running under my belt.
I jumped off and was grinning from ear to ear. At that moment, I determined in my heart and in my mind that I am going to do other things this year that I have never attempted before.
I ate really good last week too. I didn’t have any dessert all week long because I knew I would be attending a wedding over the weekend and since I knew the dessert list ahead of time — I planned my cheat MEAL — notice I did not say day, but meal.
That is another thing I am learning. I am allowing myself 1-2 cheat meals per week (and not on the same day) so that I don’t feel like I am depriving myself of anything.
I am currently working on a healthy menu for this upcoming week that I have to finalize for my family. Pinterest and Emeals.com comes in SO handy for this.
I also started taking my Plexus this week too. It’s only been three days, but I cannot give you an update on that just yet. Next Sunday I will share my newest measurements with you and we will see if I have slimmed down any in that aspect.
Here is what is on the menu this week!
Monday Dinner: Baked Mahi Mahi with Roasted Asparagus, Salad, and Cherry Tomatoes
Tuesday Dinner: Chicken Orzo Soup for the Girls and Baked Potato Soup for the boys
Wednesday Dinner: Flank Steak Salad with Baked Potatoes
Thursday Dinner: BBQ Chicken Nachos with Cilantro Lime Brown Rice and Chips and Salsa
Friday Dinner: Bang Bang Chicken, Homemade Sushi, Salad with Ginger Dressing
Saturday Dinner: Steak, Baked Sweet potato Fries, Roasted Broccoli and Salad
Sunday Dinner: Out with our church family
So that is my weekly update. I will have more for you next week as I work on being more disciplined, and just plugging along 🙂
What about you? How are YOU doing with your health goals?
