Alright y’all — I have not posted my weight loss update in a while because, well, there is simply not a lot to update. I am still plugging away at everything, but I have seriously not lost one pound. Okay — maybe I have lost two pounds, but y’all — it ain’t going anywhere. Someone send HELP stat!
I think I am getting into shape, but every single time I look in the mirror, I don’t see much difference. It is getting very discouraging.
I stopped going to the gym because it is summer and because I tell myself I can do this without going to the gym, but the gym motivates me to get up and get moving.
It costs me quite a bit each month to go, but I love going and I love the feeling of sweating and working out.
I have been trying to stay active and walk every day, but the weather just cannot make up its mind whether it wants to pour down rain or get stinkin’ hot. Either way, I have not been consistent for more than a few days since I started trying to live a healthier lifestyle.
BUT — I have been spending some time with the family outdoors. I was able to go fishing a couple of times last week and landed some really nice fish!
Getting outdoors has helped motivate me some, but it’s like I need more. I am not doing enough and so I am going to definitely be making exercise and eating better and learning about how to take care of me a priority.
I started by reading a copy of this book — Your Holistically Hot Transformation.

So far, it has been a great book and I am learning SO much about diet, nutrition, and health that I honestly did not k now before. Basically, all I have been doing is counting calories, which according to Marissa, is just not okay. There is much, much more to it than that.
And the fact that I weigh myself every single day. I now have permission to not do that and boy is that awesome! Marissa says to go by how your clothes feel and how you see the transformation happening, not by the numbers on the scale because they can fluctuate.
This book has been an eye opener for me, so I do believe that I am going to reset AGAIN (for about the 3rd time now) and start over with this whole weight loss thing.
I have been looking at it all wrong and from the wrong stand point.
So — that is where I am at the moment. Still weighing in at 178. Working on transforming my mind and my heart when it comes to weight loss.
