I am not a breakfast girl. Honestly I could care less if I eat or not — unless we are on vacation and then I can throw down! But when I am at home, I just don’t eat breakfast. Because of that, I like to drink smoothies instead — and that is how I came up with this Super Charged Tropical Smoothie.
This recipe is SO good and it will give you tons of energy in the morning. Not only that, but because I add in Emergen-C, it also helps to boost the Vitamin C in your body. And with fall now upon us, it’s always good to be prepared for cold and flu season.
How to Make My Super Charged Tropical Smoothie
For starters, you need to make sure you have Emergen-C on hand. I picked mine up at Walmart. It was easy to find. It’s located right on the vitamin aisle. The boxes are so vibrant in color — you will see them right away.
While you are there, swing by the frozen food department and pick up a bag of frozen tropical fruit. It is the easiest way to add some healthy fruits into your diet. And by buying frozen, you don’t have to add any ice into your smoothie. This is my secret step to making the creamiest and tastiest smoothies on the planet.
In your blender, add your frozen fruit, and then — I add 1/2 cup of greek yogurt, and then enough almond milk to make it smooth and creamy. The amount is based upon what you like. If you like it thick, use less. If you want it thinner, just add more almond milk.
I kind of like mine in between.
Then, I add in one packet of Tangerine Emergen-C. This boosts the Vitamin C and adds a little tang to the smoothie giving it that perfect tropical feel.
Then blend it all up and serve it in your favorite glass. Seriously — this has become one of my all time favorite smoothies — and believe me — I make a lot of them 🙂
- 1 cup of tropical frozen fruit
- ½ cup of Greek Yogurt
- Almond Milk (amount varies to your liking)
- 1 package of Emergen-C Tangerine Flavor
- Combine all ingredients into the blender and puree until smooth. Serve in your favorite glass and drink up!
If you want to make super charged smoothies like this, be sure and pick up any flavor of Emergen-C at your local Walmart. You can choose from Super Orange, Raspberry, and Tangerine. And the best part? They come in a 30 count so you can make tons of smoothies and really boost that immune system for the upcoming fall and winter season.
