This Brazilian Limeade drink will quench your thirst all summer long!
While I was at Mom2.0 this year, I had the privilege of chatting with the amazing folks of Eagle Brand. Now, this post is not sponsored. I just truly LOVE the brand so I am sharing my take on the Brazilian Limeade recipe that happens to be everywhere these days.
This drink is everything you could want in a refreshing summertime drink. What makes it taste so amazing is not the limes that are added, but the sweetness of the Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk.
Can we talk first about how cute these glasses are? I picked them up during my weekend in Harrodsburg, KY. We shopped many antique shops that weekend and I found this set that had 6 short ones and 6 tall ones. I got the whole set for $17. They are simply gorgeous.
Okay — so let’s talk about this delicious Brazilian Limeade.
How to Make Brazilian Limeade
For starters, this really only requires 4 ingredients — limes, sugar, water, and Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk.
You need to start by washing your limes really good to get the waxy coating off. Once you do, then you are going to slice them in 8 pieces.
Now, pour your water in the blender. Then place your limes in there as well — peels and all. For me, I use the NutriNinja Blender (you can click here to purchase yours on Amazon). It’s my all time favorite because it is a blender, chopper, juicer, etc all in one.
Also put your sugar in here now as well.
Then, you are going to turn on your blender on the puree mode and let it do it’s job. The water will turn this creamy light green color — but don’t drink it just yet!
Once you get done pureeing the mixture, you are going to remove it and run it through your strainer to remove any of the pulp.
Then discard whatever is left of the pulp into the trash.
This is where the sweetness comes in!
Take your can of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk and pour about half the can into the jug with the drink mixture and stir well to combine.
My Extra Addition To Brazilian Limeade
Here’s my extra addition to this recipe — I like rim my glasses with just a little sweetened condensed milk and my Pink Salt and Lime Zest mixture.
I just use Pink Himalyan Salt(but you can use whatever salt you have on hand) and zest of one of the limes. Then take a little Sweetened Condensed Milk and run it around the rim with my finger and then dip into the salt mixture for a perfect touch to the top of the glass.
Then top it off with a little ice and your delicious Brazilian Limeade summertime drink.
- 4 limes
- 6 cups of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 can of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Salt and Lime Zest for rim of cups
Wash limes thoroughly. Cut off the ends and slice into eight wedges. Place limes in a blender with the sugar, and water. Puree until blended well.
Remove and strain through a strainer. Throw away pulp. Add in condensed milk. Mix well.
Serve over ice in salt rimmed glasses. Enjoy!
