Brick & Spoon- Gulf Shores and Orange Beach

Sharing is caring!

While on our romantic getaway to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama, we decided to expand our horizons and visit some off the wall restaurants. For breakfast one morning, we hit up the Brick & Spoon . This is a quaint little breakfast place located on Canal Road in Orange Beach. Right from the get go, I loved it!

Brick and Spoon

While we loved our food the night before at Lulu's, I am a breakfast kind of girl when I am on vacation. We woke up early after getting a good night's sleep in our beach side condo, and headed to Orange Beach to hit up this much talked about restaurant. The scenic canal drive to the restaurant was just what I needed to get my morning going.

The atmosphere was so unique. It wasn't loud or boisterous, but a quiet little place to sit down, enjoy an authentic Gulf Shore Breakfast.

The Brick and Spoon

The food here was FANTASTIC! Brick & Spoon is known for is their Build Your Own Bloody Mary and Shrimp and Grits.

With the bloody mary, you can add in anything you want. I saw one of these while we waited for our breakfast and let me just tell you — that glass was HUGE!

What to Eat at Brick and Spoon

According to our friends that were eating breakfast with us, the Shrimp and Grits were on point! They were seriously authentic and it has been said that the Brick & Spoon has the best shrimp and grits in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.

I opted for breakfast tacos. Each wonton filled taco was full of chorizo sausage, eggs, and delicious gouda cheese.

The menu is full of amazing and unique choices. Choose from Baked Brie Bruschetta, Brioche French Toast, Killer Creole Omelet and more. In fact, the Brick & Spoon has been voted as the best breakfast in the U.S. by Travel and Leisure Magazine.

The Brick & Spoon also offers a lunch and dinner menu. I can only imagine how delicious it must be considering how scrumptious breakfast was.

Our romantic breakfast at Brick and Spoon in Orange Beach

The foodie in me loved every single aspect of what The Brick & Spoon has to offer. I can't wait to go back in the Spring with our family and take them here. They will LOVE it!

Have you ever eaten here? What do you think about the food choices?

We discovered this restaurant on our last visit in September, and have to agree.....it's one of the best breakfast spots we've ever had the pleasure of visiting. We will be back....every trip.
