Crockpot Lasagna

Sharing is caring!

One of the easiest meals I have ever prepared is Crockpot Lasagna.

When life gets hectic in my house, I pull out my slow cooker and get dinner ready. It is SUCH a lifesaver — and so are meals you can fix when your day is hectic.

The trick to making this meal super quick to put in the crock pot is the type of lasagna noodles you purchase. Get the no boil kind. This way, all you have to do is layer them with your other ingredients.

How to Make Crockpot Lasagna

To make this dish, all you need are a few simple ingredients and your slow cooker!

Start with your ingredients —

  • ar of spaghetti sauce
  • 1 pound of ground hamburger meat, cooked and drained
  • a box of no-boil lasagna noodles
  • large tub of small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 8 ounce bag of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated fresh parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg

Start by browning the ground beef. Be sure to season with salt and pepper.

Next, mix together the cooked hamburger meat and spaghetti sauce in a bowl and set it aside.

In another smaller bowl, combine your cottage cheese, 1 egg, and parmesan cheese. Mix together and set aside.

Now you are ready to assemble your lasagna.

Assemble the Lasagna

Start with a little bit of the meat mixture in the bottom of your crock pot. Start adding your lasagna noodles in a single layer.

Top that layer of noodles with a little more meat mixture.

Add in 1/4 of the Cottage cheese mixture and spread it around.

Sprinkle with 1/4 of the mozzarella cheese. Top with another layer of noodles and start all over again from the meat mixture on. You might have to break the noodles some to make them fit in your slow cooker. That is totally okay.

Once you get the ingredients layered, top the lasagna with more mozzarella cheese.

Cover and cook on low for about 2 1/2 -3 hours. Keep and eye on it and check it periodically.

Crockpot Lasagna has always been one of my absolute favorite meals to prepare for my family. It is one of the first things I learned to cook as a wife and has been a long time family recipe in our home.
