I am part of the Netflix Stream Team. I was compensated for sharing this post with you. All opinions listed are 100% my own.
It’s the first of the year and you know what that means right? It’s time to really start focusing on our health — or at least I do! I am in the process of revamping a lot of things about myself — my weight, my food, my exercise, my sleep schedule — so many things.
Since I know there are a gazillion shows on Netflix, I set out to see what they had to offer to help me better myself for 2018. I found 5 amazing documentaries that I have enjoyed watching this month. These will not only transform you and help you get to the you that you are wanting, but they are eye opening about what is going on with our food and bodies these days.
I am not going to lie. Some of them are hard to watch. They will make you question everything you are putting in your body — but sometimes that’s what is needed, right? Someone to gut punch you with the truth.
Here are the 5 that I have recently watched. There are a ton more on there. I plan on watching them all!

#5 Sugar Coated
When the doors closed at the Great Western Sugar Company in Colorado in 1976, someone forgot to sweep the floor. Gathering dust in the archives were 1500 pages of internal documents exposing how the Sugar Industry used Tobacco-style tactics to dismiss troubling health claims against their products. Denver dentist turned postdoctoral scholar at the UCSF School of Medicine, Cristin Kearns, knew she’d stumbled on something big: the industry’s secret playbook. Her mentor, Stan Glantz, the superstar professor from San Francisco who brought down Big Tobacco warns, it’s going to get dirty.
