I was given a review code to try out this product. I truly love the company behind these Interactive books which can be read on any smart device. All opinions are 100% my own.
I love all the little kids at church. They have the best time sitting with my tablet reading stories to one another. Because of that, I love to find books that are not only inspiring, but leave behind a positive message to the kids. I think that is one reason why I love Julu Media.
Julu Media offers inspiring stories for kids, teens, and adults that are not only uplifting and inspiring, but they leave a positive character message behind.
I recently downloaded The Smelly Bunny (which is free) to see exactly what these books are about. This interactive book is about friendship and how to choose the right and wrong kind of friends.
The first thing I noticed right off the bat is that this book is offered in other languages other than just English.
I think this is SO perfect — especially if you take your smart device with you on a mission trip, or if you homeschool and your child is learning another language. It is a perfect language barrier breaker, or a great way to study another language.
Another thing I loved while browsing this story, is the options to either read the book yourself, or have it read to you.
Not only that, but your child can interactively color pictures of the characters from the book.
I opted to listen to the story being read to me so I could hear the narration. She reads with a good clear voice, and has emotion in her voice. That is great for kids who need excitement in their reading.
The stories have a great ending by sharing a wise truth. This one on friendship shares how important it is to choose your friends wisely, and what would happen if you didn’t.
Each animal in the story is interactive, which means if your child touches them while you are reading, the animal will move, make a sound, leave the screen and come back and more. The people do the same thing.
I really truly love everything that this company stands for. If your child is having self esteem issues, or needs some encouragement, I encourage you to check out their books.
Another of my favorites is Uga-Uga (The Brave Indian Boy). Uga-Uga is an inspiring story of determination, courage and bravery. A little boy is discriminated because of his height, but, when there is an accident, he becomes the tribe’s hero. This story will inspire children and adults. It is a lesson for all of us. Children will be inspired by the clever ways the little boy trains to become a real warrior. He never gives-up.
