One of my all time favorite Christian music groups is Jesus Culture. Kim Walker Smith can let it wail like no other. Last year, when we took our youth group to a conference and I got to see them in person. Worshipping with 50,000 other people while Kim and the band sang their hearts out left me with eyes wide open and heart ready to serve.
Now, in their newest album, Let it Echo, they are back again and this cd is their best yet. I am not joking. It is amazing.
This cd was recorded live at Jesus Culture Church in Sacramento.
For me, this is one of the bands that really draw me into worship. When I need peace, or my soul feels chaotic, I can throw on some Jesus Culture, grab a blanket, coffee, and my Bible and it is like every weight that has been on my shoulder gets released.
I love the way that they draw you in to a deeper relationship with Christ — simply through singing their hearts out to the Lord.
You can truly tell where their passion lies by how heartfelt each song is. I only hope that one day I can worship my Lord as hard and as loving as they do.
About Jesus Culture “Let it Echo”
“Let It Echo” captures the heart of a community seeking after Jesus with a desire to know Him more and to see this passion spread from cities to nations.
The new album and 9th live recording from Jesus Culture includes 12 news songs featuring Kim Walker-Smith, Chris Quilala, Bryan & Katie Torwalt, and more.
Every single song on this album is amazing but my two favorites right now are Fierce and In the River.
