When my mother in law moved in with us last year, I had no clue that just a few short months later I would become her primary care giver. She was plugging along and doing great — until she had a fall that left her with a broken elbow on her dominant arm, and legs that just didn’t want to work properly.
Her MS decided to flare up, and so for almost 3 months, she went to a rehab nursing home where they gave her the strength and help she needed to be able to come home again.
Once she got home, I quickly realized that she was going to need a lot of help — more than what she did when she first moved in.
Becoming a full time care giver can wreak havoc on your personal time, but the person you are helping is losing their dignity and capability of caring for themselves. Nothing gives me more pleasure than helping and making sure that my mother in law has everything she needs.
And Sam’s Club feels the same way as well.
Sam’s Club Care Givers Program
- Going to Sam’s Club and shopping yourself.
- Ordering online through Club Pickup (one of my favorite ways)
- Scan & Go
The Scan & Go has quickly become my favorite way of shopping and checking out. No longer do I have to wait in lines. I simply download the Scan & Go app and scan the barcodes of the items she needs. Then, when I am ready to checkout, I simply pay on the app and show my digital receipt to the exit clerk.
Care Giving At Its Finest
