During the holidays, nothing excites me more than throwing parties. If anyone knows anything about me, it’s that I am a total foodie and creating food and beverage recipes for my friends is the ultimate high for me. That is how this Sparkling Cranberry Cinnamon Punch drink came about.
We are having a get together this New Year’s Eve and there are going to be a TON of people there. They want to count down when the ball drops and they want to have something to toast.
No one drinks alcohol, so they all turned to me to come up with a drink that could help them bring in the New Year.
I ran to Walmart and grabbed a 12pack of Dasani Sparkling Water, which happens to be the perfect drink mix in because it has ZERO calories, no added colors, is caffeine-free and naturally flavored.
Because the sparkling water is not sweetened, I always make a simple syrup of 1 cup of zero calorie sweetener and 1 cup of water. For the heck of it, I add a little cinnamon to the mix also to give it that holiday feel.
For this drink, I poured a half a glass of cranberry juice. To it I added 3 tablespoons of simple syrup. You can add more or less — it is totally up to your taste.
Then to top it off, I added the Dasani Sparkling Water. I chose the berry flavor and it really added the fizz to the drink I was looking for.
While I had been making the drink portion, I had taken some cranberries and put them in the freezer so that they were completely frozen.
This will actually keep your drink cool — especially if you don’t want to use ice cubes (but we opted for both).
This is one of the easiest drinks I have ever made and it is all because Dasani Sparkling Water got me headed in the right direction.
DASANI Sparkling Water is available at Walmart and perfect for sparkling the holidays. You will find all kinds of great flavors like Lime, Berry, Lemon, Black Cherry and they come in a 12 pack of 12 oz cans.
