About 3 years ago, I discovered the importance of really caring for my teeth. All my life I had wanted straight teeth, but my parents told me over and over again that they could not afford it. I was heartbroken as I had severely crooked teeth, so when I became an adult, I made it a point of learning how to care for my smile.
I prayed and prayed for God to make a way since at the time I did not have any dental insurance to help me out. Eventually, the way was made and I found myself in braces.
For almost 2 years I had to wear them, but during that 2 years, I learned why I need to care for my teeth, and just how important that beautiful smile is to me.
Keeping me and my family healthy and happy is one of my top priorities throughout life. That means having the proper insurance to protect them in regards to health care.
Because of what I went through growing up, I knew that when the dentist first mentioned my daughter need braces soon because of some shifting issues (she was only 9 at the time) I would do whatever I needed to in order to make sure it happened.
Today, she is almost 18 and has one of the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen on any young woman. It just goes to show you that when you take the time to care for your teeth, nothing is impossible.
Dental care especially is often overlooked or brushed off an unimportant. I know for many years, I thought I did not need dental insurance — until the first time I had to have a couple of teeth pulled and quickly found out how expensive it could be.
Many do not understand that dental care is more than just keeping your teeth looking pretty, it means making sure your teeth and gums are healthy and free from harmful bacteria buildup.
If this bacteria goes untreated, it can lead to a multitude of problems including cavities and eventually tooth decay and loss.
However, going to the dentist is not an affordable expense. Even just having a cleaning here and there will add up, resulting in bills that many cannot afford alone. My husband recently went to the dentist and found out that he had several cavities that needed to be filled. Had we had to pay out of pocket, it would have been way over $700 to do so. But with dental insurance, we only would up having to pay around $200.
This is why everyone needs a beneficial and dependable dental insurance plan to cover such costs and to keep your family protected when you cannot. We all want to take care of our teeth at any age — not just when we are kids — and Guardian Dental can help make that happen.
Guardian Dental has a great insurance plan that will cover the most basic dental services to the more serious, and usually expensive ones.
Guardian has served over 20 million Americans in the past 150 years. Recently, though, they’ve expanded their plan to offer individual insurance rather than just employee and group plans. They also work alongside Premier Access Life and Access Dental to be one of the largest dental insurance providers in the nation.
Their coverage includes routine checkups, cleanings, x-rays, fillings, crowns, fluoride treatments, and of course the more serious dental procedures that you may encounter. Their savings truly outweigh other dental insurance plans and their policy includes putting their customers first.
Without regular cleanings, bacteria built up in your mouth can lead to decay, cavities, and eventually tooth loss!
Regular visits to the dentist are essential at every age! Don’t think that just because you are in your forties or fifties or even sixties you shouldn’t go. You need to go regardless of your age to not only prevent these problems, but also catch any problems that do exist before they cost you your smile.
Be sure to check out the Guardian Dental website to see if they have coverage in your area and then don’t wait. Sign up. Every age needs to have a beautiful smile.
