This week, many things have transpired in my life. For one, I have decided to finally bite the bullet and just name my site my full official name — Jennifer Sikora. I even made a header for my site that shows who I truly am and what I plan on offering here.
I just feel like it’s really time to move forward in this venture of being an encouraging soul for others. I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is what I am supposed to be doing, but honestly I get scared and shy away from it.
I’m also working on the possibility of starting a weekly podcast to share with you all. I have so many new ideas and thoughts I want to share with you, and do it in every form available — including a podcast.
It’s going to be a fun transition and I cannot wait to get started.
And something else happened this week — my daughter got her permit.
She’s so proud and she is doing great driving! I can’t believe she’s old enough to drive y’all. My younguns are just growing up right before my eyes. I am so glad as a mom that I have been here every step of the way.
What I’ve Read This Week
I’ve don a lot of reading this week and listening to podcasts because I just need the encouragement right now. I hope that some of these things give you inspiration as well.
I loved this post on why Facebook lies. It taught me to never assume that just because someone posts a picture and everything looks fine, it doesn’t always mean that it is.
My friend Kela always blesses my heart when she writes. She pretty much got in my face with this post – especially when she talks about blog designs, etc (thanks Kela for getting in my crawl 😉
Rachel wrote an amazing post on building trust in marriage. I really need to put these thoughts into practice with my own marriage.
I loved this post from Jen Hatmaker that I discovered this week. Her writing always just blows me away and I am bound and determined to get this writing thing down pat.
Holley Gerth’s newest post about permission to say no is right up my alley right now. I always need to be reminded of this — always.
This post is SO me right now (I know I have said that already a bunch, but seriously — this is how I am feeling right now.) The Unveiled Wife gets me.
Do you ever feel like you just need to hit the reset button? I do, and this post confirmed it. Time to put this into practice.
Chrystal Evans Hurst shares her thoughts on when you have to cope with crazy. We’ve all been there before right? In those Cray Cray moments! This podcast that she did on your talents is awesome and filled with some great advice if God is calling you to write.
Love this post by Jason R Young about the day that God kissed his wife. These kinds of posts make me love my God even more.
What have you read this week that inspired you?
