Oh my goodness! It’s been two weeks since we got back from vacation and I am STILL finding myself overwhelmed with so much to do. I was hoping when I got back from vacation that I would have slowed down some and really getting into my groove, but at the moment it doesn’t look like that.
I think that is why I am glad I picked up Emily P. Freeman’s book Simply Tuesday. I am loving all the reminders I am finding in the pages to just slow down and breathe.
I made this graphic this morning and it is making me want to find a bench and just sit and let my soul breathe. What about you?
Here are a few things I read this week that have really spoken to me. I hope you enjoy them as well as I did.
~I love this post from Grace Table about what hospitality really is. That’s how I feel too. I love having people over to my home, even though it is small and not very pretty to the eye. It’s warm and inviting and that’s all that matters.
~This post from Darlene at Time Warp Wife has me remembering what submission is and what it isn’t. Thankful that I don’t have to worry about the burdens of life.
~Just because someone doesn’t get what you’ve created, doesn’t mean it is worth any less. If it means something to you then it is valuable.
~Emily Freeman does a great job showing us how to keep track of what we are learning. I am starting to do this and man is it ever helpful!
~I am going to try single tasking for once in my life to help me slow down.
~I love this idea of turning an old t-shirt into a cute pillow.
Here are some recipes I saw this week that I am definitely going to be trying soon!
~This Bacon Beer Cheese Dip has my name all over it.
~I found my new dessert- Mini Pumpkin Spice Cheesecakes from Broma Bakery.
~The Lemon Bowl shares her recipe for Roasted Potatoes and Cauliflower with a delicious garlic infusion!
~Kale, pesto, and tortellini in one bowl? Say no more– you have my heart!
~These chipotle turkey bacon sliders look delicious!
Those are just a few cool things I read this week on the Internet. Now, I am off to hibernate for the weekend and let my soul breathe!
