This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tyson Foods, Inc. All opinions and my recipe for Easy Bacon Wrapped Pineapple Bites are entirely my own.
During football season, I am all about making fun and easy treats to share with my party goers. I am the queen of fast and easy – and today I am going to show you 3 super easy game day treats you can make – starting with my Easy Bacon Wrapped Pineapple Bites.
When we celebrate, I want it to be fun for everyone – myself included. So I don’t like to purchase food that is going to take FOREVER to cook. But I do want the food I serve to look like it took me forever to make.
For example – these Bacon Wrapped Pineapple Bites take just minutes to put together and about 20 minutes to cook in the oven.
To create this recipe, all you need is Wright® Brand Bacon, Pineapple chunks, and a little brown sugar.I love this bacon SO much more than other bacon on the market because it is thick and hand crafted, and expertly smoked for that one of a kind taste.
How to Make Easy Bacon Wrapped Pineapple Bites
They always have thicker, heartier slices making this recipe even more delicious. It’s a taste you just can’t rush and thanks to the expert hand trimmed and hand picked slices, each package is perfection when eaten alone or when paired in a dish like this one.
Take your bacon and slice into thirds. Then, wrap each pineapple chunk with a 1/3 of the bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
Then top it with some sprinkled on brown sugar and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes. When they come out, just serve them in a football serving bowl for a festive game day treat.
Of course, when I want a really easy appetizer to share during the big game day, I turn to Tyson® Any’tizers® – and these sweet and spicy bourbon boneless WYNGZ are the most amazing flavor I have ever put in my mouth.
The thing that I love about Tyson Any’tizers is that they are 100% white meat chicken and they offer the perfect solution for Homegating and making it a breeze to supply the perfect appetizer. They are definitely a crowd pleaser – and in just 20 minutes, my job in the kitchen is done and I can enjoy the game like everyone else.
That is the thing about snack hacks. You can create the illusion that you spent hours or days preparing all the delicious snacks you are offering, but using these few hacks, you can have it done in an hour or less.
Snack Hacks for the Perfect Homegating Party
#1 Use Tyson Brand Products
Tyson Foods has so many options in the freezer section, refrigerated section, and more to choose from.
You can create the Ultimate Hot Dog Stand using Ball Park® Hot Dogs, which can be set out on a bar along with all the amazing toppings like relish, mustard, ketchup, diced onion, shredded cheese, chili, etc.
You can make your own homemade dipping sauces to serve alongside any of the Tyson Any’tizers. My favorite is to create a Garlic Aioli, my own honey mustard, and of course the ultimate fry sauce that goes with everything – including Tyson Any’tizers.
#2 Buy Football Themed Serving Ware
When I have parties, I do not use any of my dishware. I purchase party themed plastic ware that is easily disposable when I am done.
That means less cleanup in the end for me!
For example – if you are using your crockpot to serve an appetizer at your Homegate party, line it with a disposable liner and when the night is over, simply take it out and throw it away and put your crockpot back in its place – dirty dishes averted!
Be sure to keep plenty of napkins and paper towels on hand for friends and family to wrap their treats in. Making them portable will keep the mess at bay as well.
#3 Just Have Fun!
My last snack hack is to just have fun. Be sure to enjoy the evening with your friends and family. Let Tyson Foods do all the work for you.
- 1 can of pineapple chunks, drained
- 1 pound of Wright Brand Bacon, cut in half
- 2-3 tablespoons of dark brown sugar
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Wrap each chunk of pineapple in a half a slice of bacon, trim off any fatty or excess bacon.
- Place on a wire baking rack or on a lined sheet pan.
- Bake for about 20 minutes... remove and sprinkle with brown sugar and preheat broiler to low.
- Place the pineapple bites under the broiler for a few minutes. Keep your eye on these so they don't burn.
- Let cool slightly and serve!
Who needs to be in the kitchen during football season anyway? Not me! I want to be hanging with my girls!
