For as long as I can remember, every year at Christmas, we have certain things that we do. There are movies we watch, foods we eat, games we play, and every year, these Christmas Traditions bring our family closer together.
Some things have changed because the kids have gotten older. When they were little, they used to get new pajamas on Thanksgiving eve and then a couple of nights later, we would pile into the van and head out to look at Christmas lights — while in our brand new PJ’s.
Hot cocoa has always been a huge Christmas tradition for us. I make it homemade — the old fashioned way — on the stove and the kids love it. It has been a favorite every year.
Now that they are older, our Christmas traditions include Black Friday shopping.
It seems like the older they get, my kids and my husband love our traditions. There is one tradition though that has never changed, and that is our love of Hickory Farms Summer Sausage Gift Baskets.
Our #1 Family Christmas Traditions
For us, the real Christmas traditions start when the Hickory Farms Summer Sausage Gift Box arrives. That is the beginning of the season for us.
While watching movies, decorating our home for Christmas, or just wanting a late night snack, I know I won’t be let down. The sausage speaks for itself.
Hickory Farms Signature Summer Sausage has been awarded the Masters of Taste Gold Medal for Superior Taste for having the #1 Summer Sausage in America.
I have to tend to agree with them.
To me, there is nothing like the quality taste of a toasted cracker, a slice of smoked aged cheddar, the tang of the delicious sweet hot mustard, and then top that off with a slice of the summer sausage.
Another thing that I love about Hickory Farms is that they are working hard to help end childhood hunger.
And — if you are in the military you get extra special savings! As a supporter of the U.S. Armed Forces, the company provides year round complimentary shipping on select products to military addresses across the globe to ensure families can send loved ones warm wishes and a favorite taste from home.
