My daughter has to be one of the craftiest people I know. She made this gorgeous DIY Wooden Snowman so I am sharing with you exactly how she did it.
She can bake a cake like no other, draw spectacular drawings and make crafts like her lightbulb Christmas Ornaments,or like these cute ornaments we made using simple things from around the house.
Earlier this year, we attended a wedding where the tables were decorated with pieces of wood from a tree.
After the wedding, the mother of the bride gave them all to my daughter because she knows she loves art.
Yes — my daughter made this wedding cake and the base of the cake is sitting on the wood pieces that she gave her.
Kayla took some of those pieces and created this gorgeous DIY Wooden Snowman.
How to Make a DIY Snowman
She started with 3 pieces and of course like any snowman, she had to make sure she had the right proportions on each one.
To connect them, she used a piece of 1×2 which my hubby had left over from a job that he did. She then used 1 1/2″ drywall or wood screws and screwed each piece onto the wood slat.
Once she put that together, she found a limb and had my hubby cut her a piece off. Then she found another square scrap of wood and nailed them together to create a cute little hat for her snowman.
Once she got it all nailed together she painted it. The top hat got a coat of black paint and the snowman body got a coat of white paint.
She used her basic acrylic water paint, so she made sure to spray it with a coat of clear paint when she was done so that when it rained, it would not wash it off.
After her coats of paint dried, she painted his face and then let him dry and then she placed him in the yard. He makes THE perfect Christmas wood decoration for outside.
She has had this snowman on her mind since Thanksgiving and finally got it made. It turned out SO cute and I love how creative she is.
What is your favorite Christmas decoration?

I thought that would be more complicated than it is. I may just have to give it a go. IT would be cute here.

This is the most adorable DIY craft idea, I think this would be a fun family idea to do together. The snowman almost looks rustic too, which is something I love!
