One of my absolute favorite things to do during the holidays is entertain friends and family when we get together. My house is known as the home for parties, game nights, holiday food festivals and more. Because of that, I am always looking for quick and easy appetizers I can throw together, and that is how I came up with this recipe for Easy Pizza Dippers with Pesto Ranch Dip.
This very friendly and delicious recipe took me less than 15 minutes to prepare and wound up being a hit at my last get together.
While I was at Walmart picking a few things up for our party, I grabbed a CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN® Crispy Thin Crust Oven Ready Pizza, Sicilian flavored from the frozen pizza section.
I love getting the thin and crispy because it makes a great flatbread appetizer — or in my case — a pizza dipper.
So here is how you make this EASY recipe — and I am serious . . . it is so easy a 10 year old can do it.
Start with a CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN® Crispy Thin Crust Oven Ready Pizza in your desired flavor. Since I was making a Pesto dip, I decided to get the Sicilian flavor.
While this is in the oven cooking, you can make up your dip. It consists of 2 things – ranch dressing and pesto. If you are real creative you can make your own pesto, but all of my basil is now gone for the year, so I had to opt in to just buy it premade.
I have come to the conclusion that if you take ranch, you can mix it with anything and it will taste good.
So, you mix up your dipping sauce, put it in a bowl and top it with a pretty basil leave, and then set it aside.
- 1/2 cup of ranch dressing
- 2-3 tablespoons of Pesto
- 1 CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN® Crispy Thin Crust Oven Ready Pizza
- Bake pizza according to package directions.
- When it is done, cut it up into rectangles and set aside.
For the sauce:
- Mix together the ranch and pesto and then put on a platter with pizza dippers for the perfect quick and easy appetizer.
Then all you have to do is find a pretty serving platter in your arsenal of serving dishes, and cut up your pizza into rectangles to make the perfect pizza dippers.
