Anytime I visit a new location, I am always looking for unique places to stay. When I first started doing some research about traveling to Williamsburg, VA (since my hubby and I love history stuff), the Fife and Drum Inn — a unique Williamsburg bed and breakfast popped on my radar.
Ever since I went to Harrodsburg KY and stayed at the Coleman House Bed and Breakfast, I have been obsessed with them. Now — anytime I am traveling, that is the first thing I look for!
About Fife and Drum Inn
The most conveniently located bed and breakfast in Williamsburg, VA, Fife & Drum Inn is situated between the Historic Area and the College of William and Mary.
There is always a story behind most bed and breakfasts and Fife and Drum Inn is no exception. In 1999, Sharon and Billy Scruggs opened Fife & Drum Inn, fulfilling a long-term plan of renovating a family property and turning it into a distinctive inn.
This distinctive 9 room bed and breakfast celebrates the importance of Williamsburg when it was the colonial capital, as it emphasizes the 20th-century restoration of the town through the experience of the Hitchens family. Each room of the inn contains antique prints and memorabilia that highlight aspects of historic Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown.
Breakfast is served every morning with a different casserole every day. They have fresh coffee available at 7 am, but self-serve coffee is available 24 hours a day.
They have many accommodations packages available right now including the Flight deal. To learn more about it, click here (be sure to book by August 15th to get this fun package for you and a loved one!)

If you visit and stay at the Fife and Drum Inn, there will be SO MUCH to do! You will be right beside Colonial Williamsburg and the picturesque College of William and Mary campus.
You won’t have to worry about driving either! The best way to see the area is on foot. It is a prime location with a ton of things to see and do along the way.
