Whoever said small dogs are easy to navigate have never met my little Tucker. This guy has a mind of his own whenever he is on a leash. He pulls and he tugs like no other. Because he wears a collar most of the time, you can hear him hacking and coughing from pulling on the leash to get where he wants to go (chihuahua's have a mind of their own).
Recently I was introduced to Golly Gear — a store started by two sisters several years ago to specialize in “fun, affordable, and practical products especially for small dogs.”
As life-long small-dog people, they know it can be difficult to find appropriately-sized products for our dogs; from harnesses, to toys, to treats, to leashes and collars.
Now — before finding their brand, I had tried several harnesses and none were right for Tucker. They pinched and pulled and for some reason, he always found a way out — until now.
They developed a particularly broad selection of harnesses for dogs – each with a certain strength (no-choke, no-escape, easy-on, for hard-to-fit, non-chafing, etc.).
To help each of us find the right harness for our fur babies, they have even developed a “DIY Harness Selector” online.
I used this when I picked out Tucker's and it helped me to choose Active Go Harness and Leash Set that has a cute and adorable bones design on it.
It comes delivered and wrapped in cute puppy tissue paper and they even sent cute mini crunch bones with it!
Now, Tucker doesn't normally like bones. In fact, I have never been able to get him to eat one –until he saw these.
They are perfect for little puppies like my Tucker and because they are so tiny, he ate every single one!
If you have a small dog and need some gear and treats for them, check out Golly Gear. They have all kinds of products that are geared toward our little guys.
