One of my favorite lunchtime meals is a frozen Healthy Choice Simply Cafe Steamer. As a blogger, I can get pretty bogged down during the day with multiple posts I have to write, photos to be taken, and all kinds of social media strategizing I should be doing. Because of that, I can forget to eat lunch sometimes. When those times hit, I need something quick, easy, and good for me — which is why I love the new organic ingredient versions that are available.
I have been blogging for about 8 years now. 6 of those years have been full time blogging– meaning that this is my job, so I have to make some adjustments during my day to help me get stuff done. Today I want to share 3 of those tips with you on how I do that.
3 Tips for Getting Blog Stuff Done During the Week
#1 Write Everything Down You Need to Get Done for the Week
One of my favorite bloggers, Amiryah from Four Hats and Frugal, taught me how to create a brain dump list on Sunday. What this means is that you write down every single thing you want to get accomplished for the week. This means blog posts, maintenance, housework, social media activity — everything.
Then, on a post it note, you start with 3 tasks at a time and write those on the post it not and tack it to the top of your brain dump list. The goal here is you only focus on those tasks first. Once all 3 tasks on that list get completed, mark them off and then toss that post it note away. Then you will do another one and another one and another one. Before you know it, that list will start dwindling and you will get stuff done.
#2 Eat a Well Balanced Lunch
By lunch time, if I have been busy working, my energy starts to play out. That is when I know I need to eat something that is good for me — like a Healthy Choice Simply Café Steamer frozen meal. Each meal only has 270 calories.
Healthy Choice is expanding its Healthy Choice Simply Café Steamers line with the launch of four meals made with USDA-certified organic ingredients.
One of the cool things about these meals is you actually get a steamed dish when you cook it in the microwave. They are fantastic in flavor. They are made with organic ingredients feature a special steaming basket to unlock freshness you can see and taste and are 100 percent natural – with nothing artificial.
The sauce is underneath the steam basket making it easier to steam the other ingredients instead of soaking up all your sauce.
Then, when you are done heating it, you simply take out the steam basket and mix everything together.
When I take a bite of this meal, I am left with a fresh taste in every single bite, which is what I need to refuel my body so that I can focus and function in the afternoon.

#3 Take Time In the Day to Walk Away from the Computer
Now, this may sound silly to some, but walking away from the computer can actually help you get stuff done. How is that? Because walking away, even for 20 minutes can rejuvenate your energy and focus levels.
So — why not use lunch time to do that?
During this time, don’t look at your cell phone or the computer. Your goal here is to step away from work for a moment. Take a walk, enjoy a snack or your lunch and just breathe.
