The other night I went to the pantry to get a bag of chips to go with our delicious Quick Roast Beef Subs only to find that there were none in the cabinet. I sighed in frustration, and then remembered that I had a few potatoes left, so I grabbed my mandolin and made some delicious homemade BBQ Potato Chips.
Making these are super simple, and you can use my homemade BBQ seasoning to top them with. They taste better than any chip you will ever pull out of a plastic bag.
Homemade BBQ Potato Chips

Ingredients
- 2 russet potatoes
- mandolin slicer
- bbq seasoning
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Take your mandolin slicer and put it on the thinnest setting. Leave the skin on the potatoes and slice them as thin as you possibly can.
- If you don't have a mandolin slicer, you can use a knife, but you have to slice them super thin.
- Fry just a few at a time once your oil gets to 350 degrees. It doesn't take that long so watch them to make sure that they don't burn.
- Once you bring them out of the oil, place them on a paper towel so that you can sprinkle them the bbq seasoning.
- Enjoy!
