We have been on vacation now for about 4 days. We are truly enjoying the beach house that we rented, but even though I am on vacation, I am still finding it hard to just relax.
It seems like there is constantly something going on in my mind, or something I feel like I need to get done, or any of that stuff.
But as I watch Tucker, I am realizing, that to relax, I just need to be in the moment.
He has just slept, swam, people watched, walked on the beach and more. For him, relaxing comes natural — simply because he does not overfill his life with things that are unnecessary.
Us humans could learn a thing or two from my sweet chihuahua. For instance —
going on walk can surely clear your mind and refresh your soul — especially when you are at the beach.
You don't need fancy things to have a good time. Just give him a pool, a lounge chair and his mommy and he can sleep the day away.
Then somedays, you just need to sit, breathe in, and relax.
No need to be busy doing things. Just being in the moment of whatever the day holds (and for him — that involves people watching — his favorite past time).
If you are having a hard time relaxing, take a step back and just be in the moment. Embrace the vacation and the free time and find ways to just mellow out and slow down.
I am going to try and take Tucker's advice while I'm here. That boy really knows how to relax.
