Hey y’all! Guess what? It’s that time of year again and I am headed to the Type-A Conference in Atlanta again. This is my second year in a row to go and I am super pumped to be attending and reconnecting with some fabulous bloggers.
This year, the conference is being held at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead — and I have heard some amazing things about this hotel, so I am excited to be checking it out. I am rooming with my very best blogging buddy, Tammy, from Three Different Directions. We have not seen each other since our trip to the Nestle Kitchen when we worked on the Hot Pockets team last year.
This conference is one of the first ones I went to and I really learned A LOT about blogging. I am looking forward to learning more in the next few days. I get to hear speakers on topics such as —
- Think Like a Rockstar — How to Create Fans and Build Community by Mack Collier
- Blog Financial Planning
- Refining Your Voice – How to Write Posts that People Can’t Stop Reading
- Stop Being Scared of Video — How to Get Camera Ready, Get Comfortable, and Make Your Video Look Good
- Make Your Small Blog Business a Big Deal
- Negotiate Your Rates
- How to Take Amazing Pictures for Your Posts
- The Power of IRL by Thom Singer
And of course, all the amazing meet and greet luncheons, dinners, parties, and expos with the awesome brands that will be in attendance.
I will try my best to share some of the thoughts with you through my Twitter and Facebook pages, so be sure to follow me there and then, once I get back, I will write more posts on what I thought about the conference and my main take away thoughts from each session I attended.
If you have ever thought about going to a conference, can I suggest attending Type-A. It’s small, but the relationships built are by far superior to any that I have ever seen made anywhere.
Just check out my relationship with Nutrish for Pets. In fact, I met them at Type-A. We have been partnered together ever since.
