If you have been around here for any length of time, you know how much I love to read. I have been a part of the Goodreads community for a while now and I always take their reading challenge every year.
Last year, I chose to give myself a break from reading. I told myself I could read 50 books in one year (most of the time I read 100+ books). I didn't even make it to 30.
2019 was just a really hard year so I took the year off from reading. Can I tell you something? I MISSED losing myself in a good book.
That's why I decided to jump back on the reading bandwagon and get started again. I rejoined Book of the Month Club to help me pick books from different genres I would not normally read and set my reading goal for this year at 100 books.
January Reading List
I decided to go back to sharing my monthly reading list with you just in case you want to read some of these books too! So without further ado, here is my list of reads for January.
If Only I Could Tell You(I got this one in my Book of the Month box and it is fantastic. I cannot put it down!) Use code NEWPAGE to get your box for only $10! (DONE!) Look Great Feel Great by Joyce Meyer: I am determined to get myself into shape this year and lose 50 pounds. (DONE) Salt Fat Acid Heat:I love reading books that help me to be a better cook. This one comes highly recommended by many and I got it for only $13 during Christmas. (DONE)
- The Woman in Cabin 10: I am always up for a good thriller and this one looks promising.
I keep my Kindle loaded at all times. I take it on airplanes, on car rides, doctor's offices and more. Here are the 4 books I am reading this month from my Kindle
- Been There, Married That by Gigi Levangie Granger: This is a book I have been asked to review so I am excited to check it out. (Left this book — didn't care for it)
The Last Anniversary by Liane Moriarty:I love her novels. They are always so intriguing. (DONE)
- The Cactus by Sarah Haywood – (left this book — didn't care for it)
- Last Day by Luanne Rice
You can read all kinds of books when you choose Kindle Unlimited! I love it. I pay a small fee each month and have access to thousands of books without ever having to leave my home!
Other Books I am Also Adding for January
- The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks
- Your Battles Belong to the Lord by Joyce Meyer
- Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris
I am also planning on joining Audible and trying my hand at listening to books while I walk and workout to see how I like it. I am more of a reader than a listener so I will let you know how that goes!
My goal is to read at least 8 books a month which is roughly 2 books per week. I am hoping to really get all my reads in this year!
