Every year for the last few years I have participated in the “One Word” fun. For me, it seems better than resolutions, because it is a reminder of what I want to accomplish this year. This year, my one word is . . .
Last year I wrote about determination. While I did not finish all the things I wanted to get done last year, one of the things I was determined to do was to date my husband more and you know what? I did just that.
This year though, my word for the year is ENJOY. Just in the last month, I have had two friends who have lost their husbands unexpectedly and honestly, it has ROCKED my world.
Over the course of the past year, I have allowed myself to work more than enjoying life. I use the excuse ‘I can’t I have to work’. I don’t want to be that person anymore.
This year, I plan to —
- travel more
- love more
- party more
- stop being scared
I plan on enjoying everything I do — from my work life, to life with my family. Living in a world where you never know how much time you have left, I don’t want to waste it just sitting on the couch.
I want to enjoy every day I have.
I’m tired of worrying about what everyone thinks. I am tired of watching everyone else laugh and have a great time. It’s high time that I do the same thing. It’s high time for me to get off the bleachers and jump into this thing called life.
It’s time for me to enjoy being me.
What about you? What is your ONE word for 2015?
