7 Reasons Why I Plan on Taking a Cruise This Year

Sharing is caring!

Sometime during the fall of this year, my family and I will plan on taking a cruise. The thought of all the delicious food I can eat, the beautiful waves and the rest that would come my way is enough to get me out there. However, there are 7 great other reasons why I want to take a cruise this year. I have listed them below. You tell me which one fits you more.

7 Reasons

Why I Plan on Taking a Cruise This Year

#1 I Need a Technology Break

I have heard that when you go on a cruise that the internet and phone usages are so expensive that people tend to just unplug for a few days. I honestly need that more than anything. A few days of not having to answer emails, stare at my computer, or worry about what is happening on social media definitely has me dreaming of peace and quiet.

#2 Romantic Evening with My Husband

I have been told numerous times that a cruise is the perfect place to have a romantic night with your man. I want to stand on the ship, at night, staring at the sea and stars while my husband and I dream of what we will do together once our kids leave the nest.

#3 One Last Hurrah with My Kids

Our kids are both going to be grown this year and moving into their own lives more than ever, so I know that this trip will probably be close to the last one that we will take as a family and I want to make it count. I don't want any distractions whatsoever.

#4 I Want to Be Inspired to Write

I can only imagine what it will be like to sit on the deck with my laptop in hand as I look out at the water. I know that it will inspire some writing for me. I need a new inspiration to get me going in that direction.

#5 Seeing Places and Attractions I Have Never Seen Before

When people cruise, they come home telling me about places they saw, shops they visited and the foods they have eaten and it makes me long to be able to experience that too. I want to snorkel and stick my toes in the whitest of beaches.

#6 It's Been on My Bucket List for Years

I am honestly tired of just dreaming of all the places I want to visit and I actually want to start marking them off my bucket list. This year, will be the year that I get to put a line through ‘take a cruse' with my family.

#7 Rest and Relaxation

I want to relax and unwind and totally enjoy myself. Everyone that I know of who has taken a cruise always comes back refreshed and totally pampered from their time on a cruise ship. In fact, my friend Angela from About a Mom wrote about why a cruise is the best way to relax and her post is the true reason I want to take a cruise this year.

When I hear her talk about all the fun and rest she gets on a cruise, it makes me want to go one one too.

I don't know if you have ever been on a cruise before, but I am definitely going on one. If you have been and you have some pointers and tips for me, I would love to hear about them!

I have always wanted to go on a cruise. It would be so relaxing to be out on the water. It is amazing how many fun things they can put on a ship. My kids would love a cruise with a water park.

Cruising is one of my favorite ways to travel. You're right about the rest and relaxation. You can do as little or as much as you want.

If I had to choose one tip, it would be to make sure you attend the information sessions before your ports of call. They will give you invaluable information about the areas you will visit that pertain to shopping, places to see or avoid, and ESPECIALLY safety tips. Proved very important when we visited Ocho Rios!

Hope it works out for you and you get to do all the things you want!
