When it comes to Halloween, nothing says spooky to me like spiders! Of course, our daughter hates them with a passion, and will scream if any of them come near her. Me, I like to look at them and check out their fuzzy legs (as long as there is a glass in between me and the spider!)
Because of her hatred of them and my love of Halloween, I decided to share with you how easy it is to create a Spooky Spider Display in 5 minutes or less. Seriously — 2 things you need to create this and the rest is up to you and your creativity.
I already had these cute pumpkins in the yard, but they were missing something. I headed to Walmart to check out all their Halloween stuff and came upon some creepy spider web thread in a bag along with some glitter spiders (because who doesn't love glitter spiders?)
It comes in a long strand and then when you spread it out, it looks just like spider web. You can spread it out across stuff and it looks just like spun web from a spider.
Then you just place your black spiders wherever you want and in less than 5 minutes you have a seriously cool Spooky Spider display.
Of course, if you are playing with spiders, then why not serve a very spooky spider snack for your kiddos? While I was at Walmart picking up these items, I grabbed some Go-Paks! and Snack Pack® pudding products as well.
We made one eyed spider cups by taking writing gel and making a bullseye inside the pudding cup. The vanilla pudding cup works best because you can really see it.
Then you take a toothpick and pull it through to give it that spider web effect.
Then you top it with a mini OREO cookie that has a candy eye on it. You can make the legs with chocolate icing, writing gel, or black licorice. The candy eyes are available in the wedding/craft aisle at Walmart.
Of course, my favorite way to use up those Go-Paks! cookies is to simply create my very own Cookie Shake at home.
I love small the snacks are in these to go cups, but I also love that there is plenty of room for me to make my favorite dessert right into the cup!
I crush up the mini OREOS, and then add in my own homemade coffee ice cream. Then I mix it all together — right into the cup!
Then I top it with a dollop of Reddi-Wip and two more OREOS for the perfect afternoon snack! While the kids are enjoying their spooky spider pudding cups, I am indulging in a delicious coffee treat.
To make this treat even tastier — turn it into a walking taco by adding a Vanilla or Chocolate Snack Pack Pudding Cup to your Go-Pack! and then top it with the Reddi-Wip for the ultimate fun dessert!
