The Super Starbucks Drinks You Have to Try

Sharing is caring!

You don’t have to individually count the number of drinks available in the Starbucks menu to realize that there’s a lot of them. And sometimes, that can be a little bit overwhelming. Some are so confused over what to pick that they end up ordering the same items each day.

There’s a bit of comfort with that sort of ritual, especially in the morning when you rely on your Starbucks coffee to get your mind’s motor revving. But you’re missing out. You should at least try a new Starbucks drink each week, just to change things a little bit. You never know—you just might stumble upon your new go-to Starbucks drink.

But which should you order first? Here are our recommendations to help you start on your Starbucks discovery adventure:

Pumpkin Spice Latte

This is generally a seasonal offering from Starbucks, so get it while it’s still available. Usually, by the middle of December, you’re already out of luck.

The PSL (as the fans invariably refer to it) first came out in 2003. The original didn’t even have pumpkin in it if you can believe it.

In some places in the US, the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte is like the opening of the football season—it’s the official start to the fall season.

This is the iconic espresso with steamed milk that’s infused with flavors such as clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin (of course). Top it all off with whipped cream, and it’s like Thanksgiving each time.

Iced Caramel Macchiato

This has been around for such a long time now, and it’s always been a popular choice. In fact, some adults today remember growing up with this iced caramel macchiato, although as adults they might bemoan the 34 grams of sugar in it.

Still, it’s hard to resist an espresso spruced up with some vanilla-flavored syrup along with some milk and ice, and then a drizzle of caramel to top things off.

Of course, as an alternative you can always get the healthier Cloud Macchiato. It costs $3.75 for the Tall order, $4.45 for the Grande, and $4.95 for the Venti cup. This version adds some fluffy whipped cold foam to the espresso, then with caramel sauce over the top for extra sweetness. Order the iced version, though it’s also available as a hot drink.

Pink Drink

While some people whine about the calories in some Starbucks drinks, you can’t really complain about the Pink Drink. It only contains 100 calories, which makes it way better than other calorie bombs in the menu.

This is the Strawberry Acai Refresher, except that you put in coconut milk instead of water. You can also have it made with scoops of either blackberries or strawberries, or even both.

Salted Caramel Mocha

Don’t worry about the salt. Navy guys traditionally add salt to their coffee, ever since WWII. It’s another fall staple that’s been in the Starbucks menu for years.

This has coffee and steamed milk, with toffee nut syrup and mocha sauce added. On top, you have the blend of turbinado sugar with sea salt, along with some sweetened whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel. Enjoy it while watching football, and everything’s fine.

White Chocolate Mocha

If you’ve ever met a diehard fan of Star Wars or the Harry Potter books, watch how they react when you tell them you’ve never watched the original Star Wars trilogy or read any of the Harry Potter books. They will force you to watch or read these because it’s inconceivable for them that anyone can miss these classics.

That’s the same reaction that the fans of White Chocolate Mocha have when you tell them that you haven’t tried it yet. They might end up getting you a cup for free, just to make sure you don’t miss out. Some of these folks may even feel envious about your first taste of this fabulous brew, and they’ll wax nostalgic over when they first tasted this as well.

Caramel Frappuccino

How can this be an adventurous option, given how it’s a very simple drink. You have the coffee, milk, ice, and some caramel syrup mixed in a blender. Then you have the whipped cream on top, along with some caramel sauce.

What makes this an adventure is when you venture out from your comfort zone and experiment with some extras and add-ons. Add whatever you want—the Caramel Frappuccino makes for a perfect mix to just about anything.

Final Words

It’s up to you which drinks to try out first, of course. Heck, you can always go by alphabetical order if you want. We just want you to open your Starbucks horizon. There may be more fantastic drinks in the Starbucks menu than you may think!
