Many thanks to Tread Lively for providing a screener of The Blind for this review. My opinions are 100% my own.
I have loved the Robertson family since the moment Duck Dynasty made its way onto television. While everyone raved over Willy and Korie, I was immediately drawn to Phil and Kay. Their love for each other and their cute banter on the show made me giggle.
So I knew the minute I saw the first trailer for The Blind, I was all in for this movie. What I wasn't prepared for was how this movie would affect me.
Synopsis: Long before Phil Robertson was a reality TV star, he fell in love, started a family, and began to spiral out of control. THE BLIND shares never-before-revealed moments in Phil’s life as he seeks to conquer the shame of his past, ultimately finding redemption in an unlikely place.
Watching this movie really shook me to the core. Watching Kay hold on to faith that God was going to somehow get a hold of Phil and fix her marriage and family, it gave me such a renewed sense of faith in my own life.
If you go see this movie, take your tissues. You will need them! I cried and laughed so much through this movie. And you even get to see Si and the influence he has on the family as well.
