Hey y'all! I will be heading out on my next adventure in one month! I'm headed to the 212 leadership conference with my husband which is held in beautiful Greenville, South Carolina. This is our 3rd year attending, and it is some of our favorite time of the year.
We will only be there for a couple of days since it is actually Mother's Day weekend that week while we are gone. But — I plan on doing it up right!
Last year when we went, Stephen and I took some time to tour downtown Greenville. They had an arts and crafts fair going on and we were jamming out to live music and beautiful scenery. We even took a walk along the river after dinner one evening.
We had a great time and ate at a few different restaurants in the area as well. One of the restaurants we tried was Nose Dive and the food there was phenomenal. It was a little pricey, but well worth it!
We have also eaten at Grill Marks which offers the most amazing Truffle Fries ever.
Here is a little of what I am hoping we get to do while we are here this time around.
Restaurants
I am hoping this year to get to try Honey Tupelo Cafe. Their menu sounds right up my alley with a mixture of Southern meets modern cuisine (I seriously want to dive into this burger that is topped with a fried green tomato and Pimento Cheese).
And of course, I am hitting up Tijuana Flats as much as I can, because those tacos and that sauce bar is flipping amazing!
Stay away from the skull and crossbones sauce. It is so hot it will burn your skin. Ask me how I know this 🙂
Accommodations
Stephen and I have decided to stay at the Hampton Inn I-385 by the Haywood Mall. It's less than 2 minutes from the church where the leadership conference is being held and everything we could ever want to do or places to eat at are all right there within 5 minutes of each other.
We have stayed at a couple of different Hampton Inns in the area, but this one is our favorite. One of these years, I want to stay on the riverfront in Downtown Greenville, but this year we will be staying here.
It's really nice because they offer a free complimentary hot breakfast, super comfortable beds, and around the clock coffee. Yes — they know my heart 🙂
Things To Do
We won't have a lot of time to do much of anything but I am hoping that we can do this awesome BBQ Tasting Tour I found. I love BBQ and so does my husband and since I am a foodie, you know I HAVE to at least try, right?
I will be sharing about all of our adventures on Snapchat — you can follow me @jennifersikora. I will also be sharing on Periscope and Instagram and of course on Twitter and Facebook.
This trip is not a sponsored one, but I just really love the area and love sharing about our fun times there.
Where is your favorite place to visit?

That BBQ Trail Tour sounds fantastic! I just looked it up at the GreenvilleHistoryTours.com site and I would LOVE to do that! Sadly, it looks like there's only room for 2 more people - but Greenville is SO gorgeous, I'm sure there is plenty to do and see. Hope you'll be taking lots of pictures?
Have a great time!

We recently took a trip to Charleston and we fell in love! I'm going to have to follow along with your Greenville adventures to see if it should go next on our list!
