The Beaches

The beaches in Costa Rica are stunning with white sand and deep blue seas, and the water is warm all year round which means it might not be quite as bracing as it is in other destinations.  There is a rainy season that runs from May to November, but even then water sports are so much fun, and you actually might want to opt for those dates as they tend to be a little calmer and still warm.

Great Conditions

The ocean is a lot less crowded in Costa Rica, which can make the experience a lot more enjoyable overall.  There are lots of swells, breaks, and surf shops too to enhance your day and make it more of an overall experience.  The great thing is the consistent conditions of the waves mean that it works for people of all different levels or abilities, so whether you are a novice or an expert – it will be great fun.

You can Explore other Adventures

If you are into water sports, you no doubt like a bit of adventure!  There are lots of other adventure experiences you can enjoy in Costa Rica.

You can take a walk on the wild side and explore the jungle, you can go waterfall chasing, or in-keeping with the water theme go kayaking.  There is so much going on in Costa Rica, you won’t know what to do first.

The Food

Costa Rica isn’t only great for water sports – you can enjoy a great experience in terms of the food that they offer.  It’s so well-rounded and usually cooked completely from scratch with the best ingredients.  As well as fantastic local restaurants and eateries, there is also now an explosion of high-profile chefs making their way to open up in Costa Rica. You will find lots of local street food carts too so you can try the local cuisine.

If you hadn’t yet decided where you were going on your water sports adventure, then hopefully you will now consider Costa Rica as one of your possible destinations. Costa Rica is a beautiful place to spend any time relaxing or going wild. It’s well worth the trip.
