The Spa at the Beach Club in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Alabama

Thank you to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Tourism for sending my husband and I on this amazing romantic getaway. All opinions listed are 100% my own.

After an amazing morning of learning how to make pottery at our pottery class together and a delicious lunch with a gorgeous gulf view, we headed out for our afternoon fun of a couples massage at The Spa at the Beach Club in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama. I have had a few massages in my life, but my husband had never had one and he was really excited about experiencing it with me.

Conveniently located away from the hustle and bustle on the western end of Gulf Shores, Alabama, The Beach Club is a family-focused resort offering everything needed for a perfect vacation.

When we arrived, we felt right at home. We walked in and filled out a few forms. Then we had to decided what kind of aroma we wanted for our massage oil.

Setting Up for Your Massage

My husband chose no scent, but I chose a woodsy smell and a deep tissue massage while Stephen chose a lighter massage since this was his first time ever getting one. While we were at dinner the other night at the Villaggio Grille, we talked about the different massages and what they had to offer, so that he could decide ahead of time what he wanted.

Once we chose all of the components of our couples massage, we were ushered into our locker rooms — Stephen to the men's and me to the ladies. We were given lovely plush robes and comfy shoes to wear.

We walked into the couples massage room and found it to be amazing. Inside was a sofa to sit and relax while we sipped on flavored fruit water. There was also a hot tub where we could soak together after the massage. We were both definitely looking forward to that.

Because of the “you must relax policy” at the Spa, they made me leave my cell phone in my locker, so unfortunately, I have no pictures to share with you of the room, but take my word for it — it was gorgeous.

The lighting was perfect, the music playing was romantic, and the massage was exactly what we needed to help unwind. In fact, after our amazing hour long massages, we decided to stroll through the Beach Club Resort and take in a few sights.

Our first stop was to stroll along the beach and check it out.

After checking it out, we knew it was time to go back to our condo and get ready for dinner. We had just enough time for a nap before we had to get ready. We said goodbye to the Spa and our wonderful massages and headed back to the condo.
