Patti's 1880's Settlement in Grand Rivers, KY gets LIT at Christmas. Check out the photos and info below and make plans to visit here during the holidays.
I am privileged to live about 10 minutes away from the very popular Patti's 1880's Settlement in Grand Rivers, KY. It is a tourist attraction that takes you back to the 1800s with food, clothing, decorations, and more.
Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary by having dinner there and checking out all the Christmas lights and holiday decorations.
After enjoying our delicious meal, we walked around the restaurant. I got some Homemade Pecan Praline Fudge and enjoyed all the Christmas lights and decorations.
A Step Back in Time
From the moment you arrive, Patti’s feels like stepping into another era. The property is designed to resemble a quaint 19th-century village, complete with rustic buildings, brick walkways, twinkling lights, and cozy nooks around every corner. Seasonal décor—especially at Christmas—adds an extra layer of magic, making it a favorite year-round but especially beloved during the holidays.

The attention to detail is part of the charm. Every shop, garden path, and gathering space invites you to slow down and soak it all in.
The Christmas Lights at Patti's 1880's Settlement

Not only do they decorate the outside so elegantly, but they also decorate the inside of the restaurant.
Everything is decorated to the hilt and absolutely gorgeous. It doesn't cost anything to go up there and walk around. You can enjoy the Christmas lights for free!

But I can promise you — if you step foot on the property, the smells from the kitchen, the coffee shop, and the fudge shop will call your name.
We really enjoyed the leisurely walk around the property. We talked about all the festive holiday lights. And, we made notes of things we want to build for our own Christmas display.

In fact, one of my favorite things has always been these gorgeous raindrop lights hanging from the trees.
Aren't they absolutely gorgeous? I could stand there and watch them forever.
Patti decorates in early September, and by November, all downtown is lit also. It is so cool because you will be driving down a dark road and then BAM — beautiful Christmas lights galore.

If you love Christmas as much as my husband and I do, be sure to add Patti's 1880's Settlement to your list.
