Christmas at Patti’s 1880’s Settlement in Grand Rivers, KY

Sharing is caring!

I am privileged to live about 10 minutes away from the very popular Patti's 1880's settlement in Grand Rivers, KY. It is a tourist attraction that takes you back to the 1800's with food, clothing, decorations and more. Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary by having dinner there and checking out all the Christmas lights and holiday decorations.

Christmas at Patti's

After enjoying our delicious meal (be sure and try that 2″ porkchop because it is DIVINE), we walked around the restaurant (and I got some Homemade Pecan Praline Fudge), and enjoyed all the Christmas lights and decorations.

Not only do they decorate the outside so elegantly, but they do the inside of the restaurant as well.

Everything is decorated to the hilt and absolutely gorgeous. It doesn't cost anything to go up there and walk around and enjoy the Christmas lights, but I can promise you — if you step foot on the property, the smells from the kitchen, the coffee shop, and the fudge shop will call your name.

We really enjoyed the leisure walk around the property, talking about all the festive holiday lights and making note of things we want to build for our own Christmas display.

In fact, one of my favorite things has always been these gorgeous rain drop kind of lights hanging from the trees.

Aren't they absolutely gorgeous? I could stand there and watch them forever.

Patti's starts decorating in early September and by November, the downtown streets of Grand Rivers is completely lit up. It is so cool because you will be driving down a dark road and then BAM — beautiful Christmas lights galore.

If you love Christmas as much as my husband and I do, be sure to add Patti's 1880's Settlement at Christmas time to your list of must see places during the holidays.

Me and my man

Have you ever been to Patti's before? What did you think about it?

I was not compensated in any way to write this post. I just love the area where I live and love to share with you all about the hidden gems in Grand Rivers and Calvert City.

I have never been there before. It looks like a magical place to spend the holidays, though. I'm not too far away in WV!

Looks like a great night! Those decorations are amazing, and they must have been even better in person.
