We Love You Bunches Toddler Handprint Card for Valentine's Day

This sweet craft turns your child’s handprints into a bouquet, paired with the cutest message — “We Love You Bunches” (for multiple kids) or “I Love You Bunches” (for one child). It’s simple enough for toddlers but still fun and sentimental for older kids, too.

Whether you are making these at home, in a classroom, or even at a kids’ Valentine's party, this craft is guaranteed to bring smiles.

Why You’ll Love We Love You Bunches Toddler Handprint Card

  • Super easy for toddlers
  • Minimal supplies
  • Makes a keepsake that parents will save forever
  • Great for siblings to create together
  • Perfect for Valentine’s Day gifts

This is the kind of craft that becomes a memory marker — you’ll love looking back and seeing how tiny those little hands once were.

Supplies Needed for We Love You Bunches Toddler Handprint Card

How to Make We Love You Bunches Toddler Handprint Card

Step 1: Prep Your Space
Lay down newspaper, parchment paper, or a plastic tablecloth. Toddlers + paint = messy memories (the good kind!).

Step 2: Paint the Hands
Paint your child’s palm and fingers using Valentine colors. You can do one color or mix and match for a bouquet look.

Step 3: Make the Handprints
Press their painted hand onto cardstock.

  • For one child → do one or two handprints
  • For multiple kids → add several handprints to look like a flower bouquet

Let dry completely.

Step 4: Draw the Flower Stems
Once dry, use a marker to draw stems from the bottom of each handprint. You can even add leaves if you want.

Step 5: Add the Sweet Message
Write one of these phrases:

  • One child: I Love You Bunches
  • Multiple kids: We Love You Bunches

You can write it across the top or bottom of the card.

Tips for Toddlers

  • Use washable paint (trust me on this one)
  • Do one hand at a time
  • Have wipes ready
  • Let them help pick colors — it makes them feel involved

If you’re doing this with a group of toddlers, pre-write the phrase and just let them focus on handprints.

Ways to Make It Extra Special

  • Add the date on the back
  • Write who it’s from (“Love, Emma – Age 2”)
  • Add glitter glue accents once dry
  • Turn it into a framed keepsake instead of a card

Make It a Valentine Tradition

One of my favorite ideas is making this craft every year and saving them. Imagine lining them up and seeing your kids’ hands grow over time — those are the memories that really matter.

Simple crafts like this remind us that Valentine’s Day isn’t about expensive gifts — it’s about showing love in the sweetest, most personal ways.
