I had fully intended to have this recipe up last week during Summer Dessert Week, but I wound up hurting my back and was out of commission for a while. I finally got around to getting it done and wanted to still share it with you! This easy no-bake orange creamsicle cheesecake will become your new favorite this summer!

It takes no time to throw it together and the best part? You do not have to turn your oven on once to make this delicious dessert!

How to Make No-Bake Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake

For starters, if you want to make cheesecake the correct way, you need a good springform pan. My favorite is Anolon because they are so heavy duty.

To make this cheesecake you need the following

  • Golden creme-filled cookies
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2 – 8-ounce blocks of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 small box of orange jello
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • Juice from one orange
  • 1 8 ounce tub of whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar

In a blender or food processor, take the entire package of golden creme-filled cookies (should be about 30 cookies or so) and place in the blender. Melt the butter and pour over the cookies. Process until you get a fine crumb mixture that you will use as the base of your cheesecake.

Just pour it all into the pan and using your hands mold it around until you have an even crust. Place in the freezer until ready to use.

Now, heat 1 cup of water in the microwave on high for 3 minutes. When it comes out, you are going to mix in the orange jello and set aside to cool off.

In a stand mixer or mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, orange zest, orange juice, and the 2 blocks of cream cheese. Cream together until nice and creamy with no lumps.

The secret to no lumps is making sure your cream cheese is at room temperature.

Now, add in the whipped topping and mix together.

Now, add in your cooled off orange jello water and combine until all has been incorporated. You might have to do it in batches so you do not sling orange jello water everywhere. Once you do, you will have this gorgeous orange creamsicle flavor.

Pour all of this into your crust and place the refrigerator to firm up.

Literally, that is it for making this dessert. It takes about 4 hours or overnight to firm up all the way before you can serve it. But, once it is done, oh boy! It is so good.

Using the springform pan makes it easy for the cheesecake to just pop right out! And you can serve it right on the base. Just slice and serve. Top with more whipped topping for the perfect summertime no-bake dessert.

Tips for the Best No-Bake Cheesecake

  • Use room-temperature cream cheese for the smoothest filling.
  • Fresh orange zest gives the dessert incredible citrus flavor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use bottled orange juice for No-Bake Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake

Fresh orange juice gives the best flavor, but bottled orange juice works well if needed.

Can I make it ahead?

Absolutely! In fact, this cheesecake is even better after chilling overnight.

Can I use Cool Whip instead of whipped cream?

Yes. Substitute one 8-ounce container of thawed whipped topping for the homemade whipped cream.

Can I make this gluten-free?

Simply use gluten-free graham crackers for the crust.

Do I have to use gelatin?

The orange gelatin helps stabilize the filling while adding the signature creamsicle flavor. If you prefer not to use it, you'll need another stabilizer such as dissolved unflavored gelatin.

Pro Tips

  • Chill your mixing bowl before whipping the cream.
  • Don't rush the chilling time.
  • Use a hot knife (wiped clean between cuts) for beautiful slices.
  • Garnish just before serving for the freshest presentation.
