There’s nothing better than a cold, sweet snow cone on a hot day—and the best part is you can make your own homemade snow syrup with Kool-Aid for just pennies right in the comfort of your own home.

Let’s dive into how to make it!
Why You’ll Love This Recipe for Homemade Snow Cone Syrup
- Budget-friendly – costs way less than store-bought syrup
- Customizable flavors – mix and match Kool-Aid varieties
- No high-fructose corn syrup (unless you choose it)
- Bright, bold colors – perfect for eye-catching treats and Pinterest photos
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet unsweetened Kool-Aid (any flavor)

Instructions
Step 1: Make a Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the water and sugar. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves. This creates your base syrup.
Step 2: Add the Kool-Aid
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in one packet of Kool-Aid. Mix well until fully dissolved.

Step 3: Cool Completely
Let the syrup cool to room temperature. It will thicken slightly as it cools.
Step 4: Store
Pour into a squeeze bottle or jar and refrigerate. It will keep for up to 2 weeks.
Flavor Ideas
Mix and match to create fun combinations:
- Cherry + Blue Raspberry = “Cotton Candy” vibe
- Lemonade + Strawberry = Sweet & tangy
- Grape = Classic snow cone flavor
- Tropical Punch = Bright and fruity

How to Use
- Pack a cup with shaved ice (or crushed ice from your blender)
- Drizzle syrup generously over the top
- Add more syrup as needed—don’t be shy!
Tips for the Best Snow Cone Syrup
- Use finely shaved ice for that authentic snow cone texture
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar

Fun Variations
- Creamy Snow Cones: Add a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk on top

I am sure you could. If you are talking about Kool-Aid already made in your fridge, just use 1 cup of Kool-Aid and your crushed ice. Put the Kool-Aid in your squeeze bottle and pour it over top the ice just like I did with the mix I made. Let me know if you have any more questions.
