How to Make Homemade Taco Seasoning

The cool thing about this seasoning mix is that it uses regular old pantry ingredients, and if you do what I suggested in this post and keep a well-stocked pantry -- you will be able to make seasoning mixes like this too!
Download my free pantry master printable and find out all the cool things you need to stock your pantry.
I store my taco seasoning mix in these super cute seasoning jars. They keep things fresh for weeks and if you want, you can make up a triple batch to store.
This recipe makes the same amount as one package of taco seasoning mix you find at the store.

Don't forget if you like making your own seasoning mixes, be sure and subscribe to my email list. If you do, you will get a cheat sheet for free that has over 35 spice mix recipes on it.
Now that I make homemade taco seasoning mix, I no longer buy a store-bought taco seasoning mix. I make it up in big batches and keep it in the pantry and then whenever I want to make tacos or fajitas, I simply pull out some and sprinkle it into my meat mixture.

Thank you!! I have such a sensitivity to packaged or bottled taco seasonings and such, that give me a three-day headache! I really appreciate this recipe. 🙂
My comment may have disappeared. Just wanted to thank you for this recipe, for I avoid packaged seasonings because of that special ingredient they add: poison that gives me a three-day headache. I'm looking forward to making this! 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by - I've definitely never tried making my own taco seasoning. I'm impressed! 🙂
