Delicious blackberry syrup made with the freshest blackberries, as well as pomegranate juice and lime juice for the perfect sweet and tart drink.

When I first started playing around with the flavors of this drink, I really wanted it to look dark in color, so I knew that fresh blackberries were going to be the berry of choice.

Then I researched to see what flavors pair well with blackberries, and that is pomegranate. That is how this drink was born! Let me show you how simple it is to make it.

How to Make the Perfect Halloween Margarita Recipe

Start by making a blackberry simple syrup. Take one cup of blackberries and place them in a saucepan. Take a potato masher and muddle the blackberries before adding in 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar. Place the saucepan over medium heat and allow it to boil for about 10 minutes.

Remove from the heat. Use a strainer to strain the liquid from the blackberry pulp. Throw the pulp away and set the syrup aside to cool.

Grab your flaky salt and Halloween sprinkles and make an equal mix on a plate. Rim the glasses with some honey and then roll the glass rims around in the sprinkle mixture to coat the edges.

In a cocktail shaker, add some ice, 1/4 cup of blackberry syrup, 1/4 cup of tart Pomegranate juice, and 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice. Put the top on and shake to mix well.

Add ice to the glass and pour the mixture over the ice. Top with a little Ginger Ale, ginger beer, or 7-Up if you want, or drink it as is.

Add frozen blackberries to the drink and maybe even a lime wedge or two, and if you are feeling adventurous, add some fresh sage! Serve all your guests and friends at your next Halloween party during this spooky season.

This fun drink gives off a Hocus Pocus vibe. What do you think?

Can I Make This an Alcoholic Beverage?

You absolutely can turn this drink into a fun cocktail! Some of my choices of liquors for this drink would be triple sec, blanco tequila, silver tequila, and you can even add agave nectar instead of a simple syrup if you would rather have that.
