I love making my homemade seasoning mixes at home and this Apple Pie Spice is another one that will help you save money at the grocery store during the fall season.
You will never buy this from your local grocery store again once you make your own apple pie spice mix. Throwing together takes less than 5 minutes and has the best flavor mix. This is a great way to add flavor to your cakes, apple butter, muffins, pies, breads, and applesauce all during your favorite fall months and especially the holiday season.
I don't know about you but when I make recipes like my Rustic Apple Pie, apple scones, or my delicious homemade apple crisp, I know that I am going to head to my spice cabinet and look for my homemade spice blend for Apple Pie Spice.
Making your own homemade blend is very simple, uses minimal ingredients, and is perfect for cozy fall flavors. Yes, you could go to the store and buy it, but for me, it's more fun making them myself.

This spice mix is very similar to my pumpkin spice mix.
I like to store mine in small mason jars. I have these super cute labels I use on them. Sometimes I pass them on as gifts to friends!
If you are short on pumpkin spice, you can substitute the apple spice in your pumpkin recipes. A little goes a long way and gives it a sweet flavor.
This recipe is easy to double, triple, and make in a larger batch. Just be sure to mix all the ingredients thoroughly. You don’t want any unmixed pockets appearing in your bowl.

This recipe works great in cobblers, ice cream, and such as well. One of my favorite ways to use this is by making overnight oats in those cute Weck Jars. Then I sprinkle this apple pie spice blend over the top and it makes the oats have so much great flavor. The warm flavors of cinnamon mixed with the oats just screams a fall breakfast to me.
